Brugal

In the second half of the 19th century Andres Brugal Montaner, born in Sitges in Spain, emigrated first to Cuba and later settled in the Dominican Republic, Puerto Plata. With the knowledge acquired on the working of Rum during the stay in Cuba, he founded Brugal Company in 1888. This Rums are made strictly with molasses from Dominican Republic and even today the products obtained from double distillation are mixed by Masters Roneros in Puerto Plata, all strictly belonging to the Brugal family!
