Demerara Distillers
Distillery founded in 1770 in the South American region, which initially was a Dutch colony, and definitely passed into the hands of the British Empire July 21, 1831, the day when was formed the British Guyana. The only producer of Demerara Rum, made from island sugar obtained from what is considered the best quality of sugarcane in the world, is the owner of El Dorado. It has 30 sugar factories and 11 distilleries, 7 in the Berbice region and 4 in the East Coast, which using various types of still, allow the assembly of completely different style of rum . In addition to El Dorado it is still possible to find some vintage and some selected products, with the specific name of the distillery.
