Drink obtained by grinding roasted seeds of the shrub belonging to the family Rubiaceae, genus Coffea. It grows in tropical countries like Central and South America and Africa. Among the species of coffee the most commonly used are arabica, most valuable, and robusta.
In the production of liquors coffee seeds are distilled after being put in alcoholic infusion. The result, sweetened and mixed with the infusion, gives life to coffee liquors or coffee cream.
